Our mission at Raise the Riv is to empower UC Riverside student-athletes to achieve excellence, both on and off the field and court. By empowering and supporting UC Riverside student-athletes, we provide innovative ways for UC Riverside student-athletes to grow as individuals, graduates, and ambassadors for the University and its fans. Our goal is to help current and future Highlanders leverage their name, image, and likeness to build a brighter future for themselves and the Riverside community.

Fans of UC Riverside now have the opportunity to support student-athletes directly by joining Raise The Riv. Your membership provides you with exclusive benefits, behind-the-scenes access, and special experiences reserved only for Raise The Riv members. Contributions can be designated by specific sport, with funds being allocated among participating team members.

Organizations and businesses interested in working with UC Riverside student-athletes can join Raise the Riv. Each membership level offers exclusive marketing benefits, including social media promotion, on-site appearances, as well as endorsements and advertising in print, radio and television.

Approximately 85 – 90%. Raise the Riv keeps its overhead costs as low as possible, but must cover expenses related to IT, legal, marketing materials, content creation, student-athlete education, fan engagement experiences, accounting, bookkeeping and agency services.
Yes, Raise the Riv members can designate what sport and their respective student-athletes contributions will be earmarked for. Members can also contact us directly to set up activations with their favorite student-athlete(s).

No, contracts are not exclusive. We want all UC Riverside student-athletes to thrive under NIL and take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way.
Raise the Riv offers UC Riverside student-athletes near limitless opportunities to engage in NIL activations, including: autograph signings, social media promotions, camps and clinics, charity events, special appearances, commercials, and many more!
Yes – businesses and individuals can request specific NIL deals with athletes. Contact us at elle@studentathletenil.com to get started.
Contracts are limited in time and scope to provide protection for contributor funds in situations when student-athlete transfers.
No, Raise the Riv is not affiliated with the UC Riverside in any way. It is a third party created to work with UC Riverside student-athletes.

Raise the Riv is not a 501c3 tax exempt entity. As such, contributions to Raise the Riv are not tax deductible as a charitable donation.
A business may direct that payments for the NIL activations by the student athletes be used to promote the business and/or market the business’ products and services. To learn more, contact us at elle@studentathletenil.com. Under these circumstances a business may be able to deduct these payments and/or payments for a membership to Raise the Riv as a business expense. Of course, a business seeking a tax deduction for such payments should consult with it’s tax advisor prior to taking any such deduction.
